About the Classic 24
Two-stage clearing means a steel serrated auger, 11 inches in diameter, breaks up and feeds snow to a separate 12-inch three-blade steel impeller that throws it clear — from 3 feet out to 40 feet depending on how the chute and deflector are set.
The 2.5x Quick Turn chute has a 205-degree turning radius and the deflector is adjusted from an in-dash lever, so discharge direction and height can be changed without stopping to reach over the housing.
Drive is Disc-O-Matic with six forward and two reverse speeds on 13-inch Polar Trac tires, with pin-lock steering. The one-hand interlock is standard, freeing a hand for the chute while the machine keeps moving.
Wear parts are steel: reversible skid shoes, an adjustable scraper bar, and an aluminium gear case. Ariens lists a 3-year residential warranty (90 days commercial) on the product and the gear case.
